Stop before you print that email.
May 11, 2008
Think twice before you print that email. Instead….consider keeping it in a folder in outlook. Printing copies of email negates the green benefits of electronic mail. If you develop a good system to name your folders, for example, tax 2008. At the end of three years, you can just dump that folder when you are sure you will no longer need it. Not only will you save time, paper and ink by holding it in a folder, you will always know where it is when you need it. It will never take up any physical space, never need to be shredded or handled and you will not waste time searching for it. If you save your work on your hard drive instead of Outlook, make sure you do a regualr backup. Think again, GO GREEN! Do I really need to print this email?
